For this impressive period property, XP Surveys carried out a comprehensive measured building survey, producing highly accurate floor plans, elevations and cross sections to create a reliable existing building record for the architectural design team. Every measurement was captured with precision, providing a dependable foundation for planning, refurbishment and future development.
To complement the measured survey, we deployed drone technology to capture high-resolution aerial imagery of the roof and other inaccessible areas. This allowed us to safely document features that would otherwise require expensive access equipment, reducing costs, improving efficiency and ensuring a complete survey of the property.
By combining terrestrial laser scanning with drone surveying, we delivered a fast, accurate and comprehensive dataset, enabling the project team to move forward with confidence using precise existing-condition information.
