Mulberry House, Oxford

Measured Survey Case Study for Oxfordshire Architects

The owners of this residential property in rural Oxford were planning an extension on the gable end of their home.

We discussed this project in detail with the architects, a long-standing client, NineTen Architects, as to the exact requirements needed to enable their designs and plan drawings. NineTen Architects’ extension design proposal included CLT (Cross-Laminated Timber) construction, that needed to be manufactured offsite. CLT suppliers rely on the measurements provided by the architect and, ultimately, the measured survey, to build the CLT frame.

Accuracy in this project was crucial!

Our surveyor and technicians were aware of the impact that any inaccuracies would have on both the architect and the homeowner, and we were delighted to have been selected to work on this exciting development project.

As well as delivering accurate measurements in dwg output, we also provided a 3D Revit model of the property.

‘We regularly source our measured building and topographical surveys from XP Surveys and are always very pleased with the quality of work they produce. The service they provide is great with regular and honest communication.’ – NineTen Architects
